mini holiday villages🎨
💗My roommates and I scheduled time in a week to have a little sitdown painting party. We got these little ceramic houses from Michael’s that have lights on the inside, for less than $10 each! They were even 50% off on top of that so we got them around six dollars…
🎨We already had acrylics and paint seal at our house, but we did buy two different types of glitter for this project, including a fine powder & thick glitter pack, and a little jar of iridescent baubles to decorate with. I chose the shape of the house that looks like the cottage from the holiday, but I wanted to make it more of a sugar plum candy aesthetic rather than a traditional one.
💝I’ve attached my inapp collage, so you can see the color palette I was going for. My favorite detail of mine was putting clear sequence over the holes that would light up on the Christmas trees, making it look like ornaments.

Michael's and similar craft stores often have great deals, especially during the holiday season, making it easier to craft stylish decorations without breaking the bank. Encourage each participant to choose their unique design style, whether it be traditional holiday motifs or whimsical candy-inspired aesthetics. For example, think of incorporating elements like colorful glitter, iridescent accents, and twinkling lights to bring your miniature village to life. This activity not only allows for artistic expression but also fosters bonding experiences through teamwork and creativity. Once your masterpieces are complete, you can arrange them in your living space for a charming holiday display.
