I absolutely have to share my love for the Shark FlexStyle! When I first got it, I was so excited but also a little intimidated by all the attachments. After some trial and error, I've finally mastered my routine, and I'm here to give you my personal hair tutorial on how to use the Shark FlexStyle to achieve amazing results, just like I do every week! First things first: hair prep is key! I always start with clean, damp hair – not soaking wet, but about 80% dry. This helps the style last longer and allows the FlexStyle to work its magic more efficiently. Don't forget a good heat protectant! This is a non-negotiable step for me to keep my hair healthy and shiny, especially since I use my Shark FlexStyle so often. Now, let's talk about the Coanda curlers, my absolute favorite attachment! These are what give you those beautiful, bouncy curls. I divide my hair into sections, starting from the bottom. For each section, I take a small piece of hair and hold the curler near the ends. The Coanda effect literally grabs the hair and wraps it around the barrel – it’s so cool to watch! I hold it for about 10-15 seconds, then hit the cool shot button for another 5-10 seconds to set the curl. This cool shot is crucial for making your curls last. Release gently, and you'll have a perfect curl. I alternate the direction of the curls on each side of my head for a more natural, voluminous look. Once all sections are curled, I let them cool down completely before gently running my fingers through them or using a wide-tooth comb to break them up into softer waves. For a sleek and smooth look, I switch to the smoothing brush attachment. After my hair is mostly dry, I use this brush to gently glide down sections of my hair. It helps to reduce frizz and leave my hair looking incredibly shiny and straight, but with a natural bounce, not poker-straight. If I'm aiming for more volume at the roots and a blow-out feel, I'll use the round brush attachment. I lift sections of hair at the root and brush upwards, rotating the brush as I dry to create that salon-style lift and movement. The initial dryer attachment is also fantastic for quickly getting your hair to that ideal damp stage before styling, or for a quick rough dry. I find it much gentler than traditional blow dryers. One pro tip I've learned is not to rush the process. Take your time with each section, especially with the curlers, to ensure your style holds. Using a light hold hairspray can also help extend the life of your style. Seriously, learning how to use the Shark FlexStyle has been a total game-changer for my hair routine, making it so much easier to achieve professional-looking styles at home without damaging my hair. Give it a try, and I promise you'll love your results!
