✨Morning Bible Reading Routine✨

2025/1/3 Edited to

... Read moreHey everyone! As a mom of two and a pastor's wife, my mornings can often feel like a joyful whirlwind. But amidst the beautiful chaos, my morning Bible reading routine isn't just a habit; it's my absolute lifeline. It's how I ground myself, find peace, and prepare my heart for whatever the day brings. If you're a woman reading the Bible in the early morning, you know the unique challenges and profound rewards. Why an Early Morning Bible Devotion is a Game-Changer For me, those quiet minutes before my household fully wakes up are sacred. It's when the world is still, and I can truly focus on connecting with God. This isn't just about ticking a box; it's about inviting guidance and strength into my day. When God wants you to take His hand, allowing Him to lead you down His path of peace, those early moments are perfect for grabbing hold. It helps me to trust Him with all things, big or small, right from the start. That sense of clarity and purpose I gain from my christian morning routine sets the tone and helps me navigate everything from school runs to ministry duties with a calmer spirit. My Personal Routine & Tips for Consistency I usually aim to wake up around 5 AM, before anyone else. I make myself a warm drink, grab my Bible, journal, and whatever devotional I'm currently using. This 'New Year, New devotional' approach has been wonderful for keeping my study fresh and engaging. It's easy to get into a rut, but switching up resources helps me see God's word with new eyes. Finding a dedicated, cozy spot is key – for me, it's a quiet corner in our living room. It's not always perfect; some mornings I get less time than others, or little ones wake up early. The goal isn't perfection, but presence. Even a quick 10-15 minutes can make a world of difference. Diving Deeper: The Power of "Gut-Level Trust" Right now, my devotional is challenging me to explore 'Gut-Level Trust'. This concept has really resonated with me. It’s about moving beyond surface-level faith and truly trusting God with every single aspect of my life – my children, my marriage, our finances, my calling as a pastor's wife. It means genuinely believing that God has a plan and that His hand is guiding me, even when I can't see the full picture. It's about letting go of control and allowing Him to lead me down His path of peace. This kind of deep trust doesn't come overnight; it's built in those daily moments of morning Bible reading, wrestling with scripture, and praying for understanding and surrender. It reminds me of Psalm 119:105, which says, "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path." His word illuminates the way, fostering that deep trust. Making Your Own Morning Devotion Routine Work If you're looking to establish your own bible morning routine, here are a few practical tips: Start small: Even 5-10 minutes is a great beginning. Don't feel pressured to do an hour right away. Find your spot: A quiet, comfortable place helps signal to your mind that it's time for devotion. Choose wisely: Pick a Bible translation and devotional that speaks to you and your current season of life. Be flexible: Life happens! If you miss a morning, don't beat yourself up. Just pick it up again tomorrow. Pray before you begin: Ask God to open your heart and mind to His word. This christian morning routine isn't just a part of my day; it's the foundation. It empowers me to be the best version of myself for my family and my community. I truly hope this peek into my morning Bible reading routine encourages you to cultivate your own space for connection and trust with God.

Ways you can start reading your Bible!
I know it can be hard to understand the Bible. And I know it can be hard to WANT to. But setting yourself up for success is key! Spending time in His word everyday is truly life changing. I used to just read once in a while or just the verse of the day.. but the Lord wants us to dive right in.
