Passive income from real estate... something I never thought I'd have.
If you go back years...
I'm the one who's always had the belief that
"When I'm old, I don't want to be in debt."
So buying a house, buying a condo or taking out a big loan is something I've always tried to avoid.
I've always thought that having debt is a risk. And being in debt at a greater age is a burden I don't want to bear.
Until one day...
My sister has completely come in to "break this Mindset down."
Not with fancy words.
Not with investment theory.
But it's real.
I saw my sisters slowly accumulate condos, accumulate houses, rent, systematically plan their finances, and make money from them.
What I used to regard as "debt."
Instead, the sisters saw it as a "tool."
Tools used to create future property and income.
And that made me start questioning my old beliefs.
Or actually...
The problem is not in getting into debt.
But what do we spend that debt on?
Late 2024, December 25.
I made a major decision in my life.
Buy a house in Chiang Mai worth $2.2 million.
Bank loan 1.8 million
Ready to aim clearly
"I will repay this debt in a year."
The house is rented and earns about 110,000 baht a year.
Many may view closing 1.8 million in debt within 1 year as difficult.
And yes...
It's really hard
But it's not a matter of luck.
It's a matter of "discipline."
Discipline to raise more money
Discipline of cost control
Discipline of not spending money on emotions
Discipline to focus on goals every day
Until finally.
February 23, 2026
I was able to close all my debts successfully.
And occupy this house 100% of its own.
That house is not today.
Just real estate.
But it's evidence of a change in mindset.
From people who are afraid of debt.
Become someone who understands that debt can be a property-building tool.
If there's good planning,
And disciplined enough to take responsibility for their own decisions.
The most important lesson I learned wasn't about investing.
But is to know
Some of the Mindsets we've held our whole lives may not always be true.
And sometimes...
The greatest result in life.
Start by daring to question your old beliefs.
"Debt is not always scary, but debt without a plan is scary, and property that makes money is a friend who works for us for the rest of our lives." ✨🏡💰
