Do you want to lose weight? Are there other reasons why? 🥹

Progress CAN look different ❤️

Some days it shows up in the weights that you lift.

Some days it’s in the way you choose yourself even when it feels hard.

Some days it’s just getting through the day without giving up on yourself.

You’ll get there.

Is the goal purely to reduce the number on the scale, or is it about losing fat, gaining strength, or improving overall well-being? From my experience as a personal trainer, focusing solely on weight loss misses the larger picture of transformation happening within. Progress in fitness and health can take many forms. Some days, progress is measurable in lifting heavier weights or lasting longer in a workout. Other days, it might be about mental resilience—choosing yourself even when life feels overwhelming or resisting the urge to quit. There are days when simply getting through the day counts as success, especially when juggling a busy lifestyle. It’s also important to recognize emotional and psychological milestones. For example, feeling comfortable enough to be in photos again, or walking into the gym without worrying about others’ judgments, can be significant achievements. The journey often involves breaking free from guilt associated with enjoying food or starting to try new activities with confidence. From my observations, tracking only weight can lead to discouragement or an incomplete sense of achievement. Instead, focusing on how your body feels, how your mindset evolves, and what positive habits you develop creates a more meaningful and sustainable approach to health. If you're on this journey, consider asking yourself: beyond numbers, who am I becoming? Am I growing stronger, more confident, and kinder to myself? Progress CAN look different every day. Celebrate the small victories, whether they’re physical, mental, or emotional, and trust that you’ll get there step by step.
