New products can be successful. Brands need to do more than just launch.
Every time a brand releases a new product, many people focus on promoting it to their customers, but one of the things I see as equally important is communicating with the "people in the brand" to understand first.
1. Employees should be the first to understand the goods.
Before the customer knows the product, the storefront worker should be the one who understands the product the most.
Understand raw materials
Understand identity.
Understand how our products are different from competitors.
Once the employee understands it, he will be able to spontaneously broadcast the story of the product and answer the customer's questions confidently.
The storefront worker is not just a merchandiser, but a keeper of the brand's image and quality every day the store opens.
In my view, an employee is the first fedback, and the "first customer" that a brand should make believe in its own product.
2. If you want new customers, you have to dare to let people try.
Shipping to Influencer Reviews is a good thing. Even that doesn't always guarantee a return of reviews.
If it is not a sponsorship event, many people may only review it slightly, or review it if they really like the product.
But even then, I still think sending the trial is worth it.

Customers may be the first shoppers, but if a brand needs a new group of customers who have not yet opened up, giving them an experiment can be a way to make more decisions.
3. If you want to give a review, you should value it.
Today many brands require employees to help create content, product reviews, or social posts.
If it's a request for cooperation, many employees are willing to help.
But if a brand really expects reach, visibility, or marketing results, I view it as worthy of proper compensation.
Because review is also a form of work.
And compared to hiring an external influencer, the cost of working with employees is still lower, but it gets the people who understand the goods and brands the most.
4. Good activities should be activities that everyone wants to participate in.
Many brand events have too many niche giveaways.
Regular customers may like it, but new customers may feel it's not worth joining.
During periods of economic uncertainty, people spend money more carefully.
If a brand wants more people to dare to participate, sometimes simple but accessible rewards, such as cash, discounts, or free goods, may be more motivating.
In addition, there are currently a large number of content creators and Africated marketers.
If a brand designs an activity for this group of people to help tell, it may help expand brand awareness faster than just communicating the brand's own channel.

New goods will succeed, not because of taste or quality alone.
But the brand communicates with the right person at the right time and makes everyone involved, from employees to loyal customers to new customers, want to be part of that story.
