Make sure to let your skincare professional know if you’ve had any fillers or Botox. If you want to do both, always do your facial first! There’s no wait time after a facial. But you need to wait two weeks after Botox and 4 weeks after filler to be safe. Otherwise you risk displacement and can end up with lumps and droops! Better safe than sorry!

After getting Botox, I waited at least two weeks before booking a facial, as recommended by my skincare professional. This precaution helps to prevent the product from shifting, which can cause unevenness or drooping. Similarly, for fillers, I found it necessary to wait a full four weeks before undergoing a facial or any intensive skin manipulation. During this time, the filler settles in, minimizing the risk of displacement. It’s important to communicate openly with your esthetician about any recent injectables so they can tailor the treatment safely. Another tip is to always schedule facials prior to any Botox or filler appointments if you're planning on doing both. Facials don’t require a downtime buffer, but injectables do. This sequence optimizes the effectiveness of each treatment and reduces risks. In addition to timing, being gentle with post-injection care is vital. Avoid aggressive facial massages or treatments involving heat or strong suction immediately after fillers or Botox. These can interfere with how the products settle. Overall, patience and transparency with your skincare provider go a long way. Following recommended waiting periods not only safeguards your cosmetic investments but also enhances your skin’s health and appearance in the long term.
