Spring page 🌸

My inspiration for this page is how I view going to the fair in the spring closing into summer. Where it’s not too hot yet to get out and have fun. With the patterns and majority colors being pink and blue reminds me of the cotton candy. And the mermaid hello kitty stickers came from a cotton candy container. #junkjournalideas #hellokittty #spring #fairseason #junkjournal

The choice of colors—soft pinks and blues—perfectly evokes the nostalgic sweetness of cotton candy, which is a classic treat at fairs. In my own experience, incorporating elements like mermaid-themed Hello Kitty stickers, inspired by cotton candy containers, adds a whimsical and personal touch that can really bring a page to life. When crafting a similar junk journal, I like to source materials that reflect the textures and flavors of the fair. Using textured paper with pastel colors or even fragments of fair tickets can deepen the story of your page. Additionally, including inspirational quotes, like Psalm 9:9, reminds me of finding comfort and strength amid everyday adventures and challenges. This blend of visual appeal and meaningful content makes the journal more than just a craft—it's a keepsake. If you’re inspired by fair season but hesitant about where to start, try focusing on sensory memories: the tangy sweetness of artificial blueberry lemonade gum or the visual softness of cotton candy fluff can guide your color palette and embellishment choices. Remember to layer textures and include small stickers or ephemera that resonate with your personal memories or interests, such as Hello Kitty or mermaids, to make your junk journal page truly unique and vibrant.
