"Army Region 2" points out, the Cambodian soldiers fired 11 shots at the Ohrclad border, lacking discipline, not military hope.
On May 13, 2026, the 2nd Army Division revealed a case of Cambodian soldiers using firearms to fire throughout the Ohrclad area, a total of 11 rounds at various points during the past dusk that, as a preliminary inspection, it was expected that the actions of Cambodian military personnel who lacked discipline before periodically firing their firearms were fired.
The beginning of the shooting was on Hill 278, east of Chong Jom, before firing down the east side of the road into Ohrclad, with only one to two shots fired, including 11.
According to the assessment of the situation, it is estimated that the shooting characteristics were not a series of continuous shots or a tactical result, as they were scattered shots and had no clear target, resulting in the overall situation still under the close control of the Thai authorities.
Army Division II continues to command local units to step up surveillance and monitoring measures 24 hours a day to prevent potential security impacts along the Thai-Cambodian border.
