Packing has begun ✨

This was our progress this weekend. It's a lot to pack this house up.

When I started packing, I found it useful to sort belongings into categories like "keep," "donate," and "discard" before even beginning to pack boxes. This not only lightened the load but also made unpacking easier later on. One key tip is to label boxes clearly with both the contents and the room they belong to. Using color-coded labels can speed up the unpacking process and help movers know where to place each box. Additionally, keeping an "essentials box" with items you'll need right away—such as toiletries, chargers, and a few changes of clothes—makes those first few days in a new home more comfortable. Throughout the packing, I reminded myself to stay positive and believe in the process, which the words "BELIEVE" and "HAPPY" painted in the background seemed to inspire. It’s helpful to focus on the excitement of a fresh start rather than the overwhelming work ahead. Taking breaks and celebrating small milestones, like finishing a room, can also keep motivation high. Lastly, don’t hesitate to ask friends or family for help. Packing as a team not only speeds things up but also makes the experience more enjoyable and less lonely. Overall, although it’s a lot of work, organizing thoughtfully and staying cheery transforms packing from a chore into a meaningful step toward a new chapter.
