Elsie DELIVERED with this master piece.

This book got me out of my audiobook slump that I’ve been in for months now.

I wasn’t so sure how I was going to feel about Rhys being a pro entertainment wrestler because… ick; but it actually didn’t cringe me out like I thought it would.

I absolutely loved this story, and it might be my favorite in the Rose Hill series so far. 🤭

The banter was top tier, I was laughing constantly. Also marriage of convenience & forced proximity.. let’s just say the TENSION between Rhys and Tabitha was 🔥 like a grumpy reserved MMC & a black cat energy FMC? Perfection! I ATE IT UP.

I also really loved the found family aspect in this book🥹 made my heart so happy for Rhys.

I can’t wait for Wild Card🤩🤩

... Read moreWhat makes Elsie Silver's books, like 'Wild Side,' so incredibly addictive? For me, it's how she masterfully weaves classic romance tropes into deeply complex and heartwarming stories. I've always been a fan of a good 'marriage of convenience' and 'forced proximity,' but in 'Wild Side,' it felt so fresh and engaging with Rhys and Tabitha. The initial setup might seem a bit cliché, but Elsie Silver expertly uses these tropes to build a truly 'complex romantic relationship'. You see the characters navigate their pre-conceived notions, their vulnerabilities, and slowly, painstakingly, fall for each other against their will. It's not just a surface-level conflict; she digs into the emotional wounds and past experiences that make these characters reserved or prickly – especially Rhys with his 'grumpy reserved MMC' persona – and then shows how a bright, determined heroine can crack through those walls. This creates a love story that feels incredibly earned and satisfying, making you root for them every step of the way. Beyond the core romance, I adore Elsie Silver's signature 'grumpy x sunshine' or 'grumpy x black cat energy' dynamics. It’s a formula that just works for me, providing endless banter and sizzling tension. The way Tabitha's 'black cat energy FMC' challenges Rhys was pure perfection! Another favorite aspect is the 'found family' element, which 'Wild Side' does beautifully. It adds so much depth to the narrative, showing characters supporting each other not just romantically, but through strong friendships and community ties. It really made my heart happy for Rhys to see him find his place. And let’s not forget the underlying 'small town romance' vibe often present in her books, which grounds the stories and makes you feel right at home with the characters. These aren't just tropes; they're springboards for rich character development and emotional journeys that keep you hooked. If you, like me, get completely invested in character pairings and their unique chemistry, then Rhys and Tabitha from 'Wild Side' are definitely a new favorite ship! Their chemistry was off the charts. For those looking for more unforgettable Elsie Silver couples, I've heard amazing things about the pairings in her other books like 'Wild Love' and 'Wild Eyes' (which I noticed were stacked near 'Wild Side' in that gorgeous flat lay photo!). Each book introduces a new dynamic, but always with that signature Elsie Silver spark. I often look for recommendations from other readers who loved the same 'fictional men' and experienced 'mutual pining' in their reads as much as I do. Finding those connections makes the reading experience even better. Speaking of what's next, I'm eagerly awaiting 'Wild Card' after finishing 'Wild Side'! Elsie Silver is fantastic at giving us little teasers and 'bonus' content for her series. Often, you can find bonus epilogues or deleted scenes on her website or by signing up for her newsletter. It’s a great way to get a little extra time with your favorite characters after the book ends, a true treat for devoted fans. For me, the phrase 'Escape Reality Read Books' perfectly encapsulates the joy of diving into the entire Wild series and getting lost in these captivating worlds.
