To make the perfect gravy, start by using high-quality sausage such as Jimmy Dean or Kentucky Kernal, which adds robust flavor. Brown the sausage until crispy, then mix in seasoned flour, stirring until absorbed. Gradually add milk to achieve your desired gravy consistency. For the biscuits, combine regular flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a bowl before adding frozen grated butter. The cold butter helps create flaky layers. After adding milk to form the dough, use an ice cream scoop to drop biscuit dough on top of the gravy in a baking dish. Bake at 400°F for approximately 23 minutes. Serve hot for a delightful breakfast experience that everyone will love.
