When seeking a place that offers authentic yet elevated Korean cuisine, MODU High truly stands out in Singapore’s bustling CBD. Beyond the main highlight—the Samgyetang—this restaurant beautifully combines traditional flavors with a modern dining environment that feels both intimate and restorative. One of my favorite discoveries here was the rich, slow-cooked Samgyetang broth, infused with premium ingredients like ginseng, red dates, and organic halal-certified chicken. Its depth of flavor made every spoonful deeply satisfying and comforting, an ideal meal especially during cooler days or when craving something nourishing. Accompanying the soup is the delightful mung bean pancake, which has a crispy exterior with a soft tender interior—a perfect dish to share and complement the main course. The Korean honey cookie paired with homemade jujube and cinnamon punch adds a lovely sweet touch that rounds out the meal. What also impressed me was the modern hanok-inspired decor of the restaurant, blending natural wood tones and traditional Korean architectural elements with contemporary design. This peaceful ambiance made dining here feel like a small retreat away from the city’s rush. Don’t miss trying their tangerine peel tea, which refreshingly cleanses the palate and aids digestion. If you’re in the area, it’s worth visiting the adjacent viral tofu ice cream spot, TOFU G, to finish off your visit with a unique dessert. Overall, MODU High offers more than just a meal—it’s about an immersive experience that combines healthful ingredients, thoughtful preparation, and a serene atmosphere. Perfect if you’re exploring hidden gem eateries in Singapore or looking for a wholesome Korean dining experience.
