Dry out my skin
Hey everyone! I wanted to dive a little deeper into my recent 'Buy or Bye Beauty Edition' reviews. It's so tough navigating the skincare world, and what works for one person might not work for another, especially when you have sensitive skin like mine! So, I really wanted to share why I gave my verdicts on these popular products. First up, Glow Recipe! I rated it a 9/10, and honestly, it almost hit a perfect 10. For me, it's all about hydration, and their products deliver. My skin just drinks it up without feeling greasy or heavy. I've found their formulas to be really gentle and effective, leaving my skin plump and happy. If you're looking for that dewy, healthy glow, this brand is definitely a 'Buy' in my book. I've heard amazing things about their Plum Plump Hyaluronic Serum and Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops, and they absolutely lived up to the hype for me! Then there's Bubble, which got a full 10/10! This brand has been an absolute game-changer for my sensitive skin. Finding products that don't irritate or cause redness is a constant struggle, but Bubble has been a dream. Their moisturizers feel incredibly soothing and provide just the right amount of hydration without any harsh ingredients. If you struggle with easily irritated skin, I truly recommend giving Bubble a try. It’s affordable, accessible, and genuinely effective for a gentle routine. This is a solid 'Buy' for anyone, especially those with reactive skin. Now for the 'Bye' list, and I really wish these had worked out! Drunk Elephant was a 4/10 for me. While their aesthetic is super appealing, some of their products just didn't agree with my sensitive skin. I experienced a bit of redness and irritation, which is a big no-go for me. It’s a bummer because I know so many people love them, but it just goes to show that not every popular product is a fit for everyone. Always patch test, especially with active ingredients! And finally, Mario Badescu at a 2/10. Specifically, I tried their Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater, and for me, it actually dried out my skin instead of hydrating it. I was so surprised because it’s a cult favorite! My skin felt tighter and more uncomfortable after using it, which is the opposite of what I look for in a facial mist. It really highlighted for me how important it is to listen to your own skin's needs, even if everyone else is raving about something. This one was definitely a 'Bye' for me. My biggest takeaway from doing these 'Buy or Bye' reviews is that skincare is incredibly personal. Don't be afraid to experiment, but always pay attention to how your skin reacts. Look for ingredients that align with your skin type and concerns. For sensitive skin, fragrance-free and minimal ingredient lists are often a good starting point. What are your recent 'buy' or 'bye' beauty discoveries? I'd love to hear them!
