Summary: A farm where animals rebel against their human owners to create an equal society, only to have the pigs. Farmer Jones to run the farm themselves, aiming for equality. However, the pigs—specifically Napoleon—take over, becoming just as oppressive as the humans they kicked out.

What I think about: I love how Lucky the pig telling the stories to their little cute pig kids and other animal friends and sitting on the grass and looking at the sky.

Genre: Kid friendly, live action, adventure, animated, family friendly drama and PG.

... Read moreWatching the movie adaptation of 'Animal Farm' brings a fascinating layer to the classic tale I remember reading. The film beautifully combines live-action and animation to make the story accessible to a younger audience while preserving its deep political themes. I really appreciated how Lucky, the pig, telling stories to his adorable piglets and other animals adds warmth and a relatable touch to the narrative. One scene that stuck with me was how the farm initially feels like a hopeful place, with animals united toward a common goal of equality. Yet, as the story unfolds, it becomes clear how power can corrupt—especially with Napoleon's rise to leadership mirroring the very oppression the animals sought to escape. This portrayal brings complex ideas like totalitarianism and media manipulation into a storyline that's digestible for families. The film cleverly illustrates propaganda through the trope "Blatant Lies," highlighting how truth can be twisted by those in power—a lesson that's incredibly relevant today. Additionally, the "Adaptation Expansion/New Ending" gives a fresh perspective, enriching the original plot and offering viewers something new to contemplate. For parents, this movie is an excellent conversation starter about governance, media influence, and critical thinking. The blend of adventure and drama keeps kids engaged, while the deeper messages provide adults with thoughtful commentary. If you enjoy stories where animals reflect human society's complexities, this adaptation is a must-watch. It balances entertainment with education perfectly, making it a valuable addition to family movie nights.
