ONGGII vs SBDC
Rating 3/5
💰 Price: 3/5
$22.66 after GST for the seafood stew set. It comes with rice and some sides as seen in the picture. the egg was supper good tho
👍Why I like it:
easy to get seats. went on a saturday afternoon and there was no queue. taste i think was okay. still think sbdc is better as there are more tofu and meat. onggii seem to taste like there’s more MSG.
i would go back to onggii if im craving for stew while im in suntec. if not i will just walk over a short while to SBDC. do head down to try for yourself!!
📍Address: ONGGII Suntec city
From my personal experience exploring stews in Suntec, both ONGGII and SBDC offer unique takes on Korean-style meals, yet they cater to slightly different preferences. ONGGII impresses with convenience—finding a seat there, even on a busy Saturday afternoon, is easier compared to SBDC’s often busier vibe. Their seafood stew set, priced at around $22.66 after GST, comes complete with rice and side dishes, with the perfectly cooked egg standing out as a highlight. However, if you prefer a stew that's richer in tofu and meat, SBDC is more fulfilling. Their dishes tend to have a more balanced seasoning without an overpowering MSG taste, which some find preferable for a healthier feel. Also, SBDC's menu variety can satisfy those looking to indulge in a classic tofu-rich stew or other Korean specialties like Galbi or Bulgogi themed dishes. For those planning a visit, I recommend trying ONGGII when you want a quick, tasty stew with no wait in Suntec. But if you have more time, walking over to SBDC ensures a heartier meal experience. Both spots provide authentic Korean flavors, so your choice might boil down to convenience versus richness. Don't forget to sample both and decide which suits your taste buds best!
