Growing up people always had something to say about my parents decision to homeschool my brother and I but with a lot of people always fail to see and realize with our dad traveling for a living as a lineman homeschooling was really the only way that we would ever get to see him and because of our parents decision to homeschool us I have been able to visit all of the states that I have due to either my father, working in them or us going to see him and stopping in different states to visit things we had always wanted to see we learned about the Rio Grande in school a year before the rest of our friends from back home in North Carolina did and even got to go and visit it before they had ever learned about it in public school. I learned about the Colorado Rockies and wanted to go visit so one trip to California. We took a detour to Colorado to see the Rockies. My brother had seen on the TV somewhere about a Eiffel tower with a red cowboy hat in Paris, Texas. My parents drove two hours out of the way so we could go see an Eiffel tower with a red, cowboy hat, all because my brother had learned about it and wanted to see it!
So no homeschooling might not be for everybody, but it definitely worked out pretty well for my brother and I
