Homemade Christmas Ornaments

Sooooo yesterday I fibbed a bit 🤭 I started cleaning up the craft/playroom and was side tracked. I made a few more ornaments for next years tree.. yes next year I might have a tree 🌲. I figured at end of Christmas everyone could pick an ornament of them or anyone for their tree next year. I’m not crafty but I try. It’s a fun way to use pictures every year. I couldn’t decide which picture was better so here are all of them 🤣😂 what do you think? #holidaycrafts #diychristmascrafts #holidaycrafting

Even if you're not highly skilled in crafting, simple projects like photo-based ornaments can be enjoyable and meaningful. One tip I learned from my experience is to start early—just like preparing ornaments for next year's tree—which reduces holiday stress and allows you to enjoy the process. Using photos with phrases like "Home for CHRISTMAS" or "Merry Christmas Annalise 2005" can add a nostalgic charm to your ornaments. You can print pictures on cardstock or photo paper, then cut and laminate or use clear ornament bulbs to insert them neatly. This technique preserves special moments and makes your tree unique. Additionally, involving family members in choosing or making ornaments turns the activity into a fun group event. You might even create a tradition where everyone picks an ornament at the end of the season to keep for the following year. This not only recycles the decorations but also keeps the holiday spirit alive. If you're looking for extra decoration ideas, consider using glitter, ribbons, or tiny pine twigs to complement the photos, enhancing the festive look. Remember, imperfections are part of homemade charm, so don’t hesitate to experiment and enjoy the creative process. Overall, homemade ornaments are a meaningful and budget-friendly way to celebrate the holidays with warmth and personality.
