「千葉県の市場って一般でも入れるの？」と調べている人にいちばん伝えたいのは、“行ける日が決まっている”こと。千葉市地方卸売市場の水産棟は、基本的に一般客は入れないけど、第二・第四土曜日の「市民感謝デー」だけは別。月2回限定だからこそ、予定を合わせて行く価値がありました。 私が行ってみて感じたコツは、とにかく早め行動。HPでは7時開場表記でも、実際はもっと早くから動いていることがあるみたいで、早い人は5時台から買い物してると聞きました。遅めに着くと人気の魚や貝は売り切れやすいので、「まずは水産棟で買い物→余裕があれば食堂」の順が安心。試食もだいたい8時くらいまでのことが多いそうで、試食狙いも朝イチが強いです。 子連れ目線だと、“市場＝子ども向きじゃない”って思いがちだけど、ここは雰囲気がやさしい市場で、気さくな人が多くて声をかけてもらえる場面も。タイミングが良ければマグロの解体が見られて、子どもが釘付けになりそうな迫力でした。スーパーでは見ない魚介もあって、「これ何？」が自然に増えるので食育にもぴったり。 当日の回り方は、①到着したら売り場を一周して相場と品揃えを確認、②欲しいものを決めてからまとめ買い、③保冷バッグ（できれば保冷剤）を持参、がラクでした。床が濡れている場所もあるので、歩きやすい靴推奨。ベビーカーは通れなくはないけど混む場所は動きにくいので、抱っこ紐があると安心です。 設備面は要注意で、おむつ替え・授乳室は期待しすぎない方がいいです（事前に済ませてから行くと安心）。トイレの場所も最初に確認しておくと焦りません。 最後に、近くに稲毛海岸（いなげの海水浴場）があるので、朝だけ市場を楽しんで、そのまま海沿いで軽く遊ぶ流れも相性◎。無料駐車場があるのも子連れには助かりました。行く前に開催日と営業時間は変更があることもあるので、公式HPの最新情報だけはチェックしてから向かうのがおすすめです。
