「裏磐梯 道の駅」「道の駅 裏磐梯」で調べて行くなら、私が実際に立ち寄って“助かったポイント”を先にまとめます。道の駅ってサクッと休憩のつもりが、景色・食・買い物が揃っていて予想以上に滞在しがちなので、時間に余裕を見ておくのがおすすめです。 まず到着したら、建物前から桧原湖方面の景色をチェック。晴れている日は空と湖の青がきれいで、裏磐梯らしい高原感を一気に味わえました。ドライブの途中に寄るだけでもリフレッシュできます。トイレが24時間使えるのも、早朝出発や帰り道の強い味方でした。 グルメは、看板でも目立っていた「だんご屋（DANGO-YA）」が分かりやすくて寄りやすいです。私が食べたのは“名物 焼きだんご”と玉こんにゃく。どちらも片手で食べやすいので、外の空気を感じながら軽く食べ歩きするのにちょうど良かったです。暑い日は売店周辺に夏っぽい装飾（風鈴やひまわりなど）もあって、写真を撮りたくなる雰囲気でした。 甘いもの派なら「森のアイス工房」の山塩ジェラートもぜひ。移動で火照った体がスッと落ち着く感じで、裏磐梯の“避暑地感”が完成します。飲み物は、べこの乳のコーヒー系を買ってドライブのお供にするのもありでした。 お買い物は直売所が意外と広くて、新鮮な野菜・果物が見やすく並んでいました。時期によっては福島名物の桃も狙い目。保冷バッグを車に積んでおくと、衝動買いしても安心です。お土産コーナーには、犬モチーフの小物や犬用おやつも置いてあって、家族やペット向けの“ちょい土産”が見つけやすかったです。 アクセスは猪苗代磐梯高原ICから車で30〜35分ほど。駐車場は無料ですが、連休は混みやすいので、私は午前中の早め到着のほうが動きやすかったです。ここを拠点に、桧原湖の遊覧船やキャンプ、五色沼散策へつなげると一日が組みやすいので、「道の駅裏磐梯」は休憩だけじゃなく“旅の起点”として使うのがおすすめです。
