Had a professional photo shoot with my baby girl Molly. We rescued her from the Shelter in Pasadena & that was around 10 years ago. She was heart worm positive at the time of adoption. Had to go through 2 full round to finally get rid of them. Wouldn’t trade her for nothing. She’s a Momma’s Girl 💕Pearland
Adopting a pet from a shelter is one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve ever had, and Molly's story is a testament to that. When we first brought her home from Pasadena, she was diagnosed with heartworm, which is a serious parasitic disease transmitted by mosquitoes. The treatment was tough, requiring two full rounds of medication, and it took months of care and patience before Molly was completely healthy. Throughout this journey, I learned so much about the importance of timely veterinary care and preventive measures like regular heartworm tests and monthly preventatives. Heartworm disease can be fatal if untreated, but with proper attention, dogs like Molly can lead long, happy lives. The photo shoot we had was particularly special because it celebrated not just Molly's outer beauty but her resilience and the deep bond we share as 'Momma and girl.' Such moments are precious reminders of the commitment and love involved in rescuing and caring for a pet.
