The Free App Every Girlie Needs

🌸 In my opinion, tracking our periods is really important for our health. We can spot irregularities, accurately see when we last had a period, have more accuracy in predicting when our period is coming (especially if you’re irregular like me), and so much more!

🌸 I have been using WomanLog to track my period for 4 years now, and I wanted to share why I love it so much.

🌸 It’s really simple to use and does a lot of the work for you. In the past, I tried using the period tracker that’s a part of Apple’s health app, but I had to go in manually everyday and add that I was on my period 💀 it was honestly really annoying, and I wanted something better.

🌸 While this app does have a premium option I have never used it and never will. It does what I need it to perfectly fine without it.

🌸 Some things I didn’t list that the app has are articles pertaining to various topics about women’s health and a summary option where you can directly view your weight, cycles, basal body temperature and more over the span of however long you have been using the app. You can also customize the theme and set reminders which is so useful if you’re on birth control.

🌸 This is really an app that’s made for women by women, and I hope you all can enjoy it 😊

... Read moreSo, you've heard about WomanLog and are wondering if it's right for you? As someone who’s relied on it for years, let me share a bit more about what makes this app truly stand out, especially for us 'girlies' navigating our cycles! Beyond just marking my period start, the WomanLog Calendar Period tracker helps me understand my body's rhythm. It accurately shows my Cycle day, gives estimated fertile days, and provides a period start prediction. For someone like me with irregular cycles, this predictive power is invaluable. No more guessing games or last-minute surprises! It’s such a relief to have that clarity. One thing I absolutely love is how much detail you can add. On the daily logging screen, you can track daily body feelings, symptoms, and other health metrics – from mood swings to energy levels, even headaches or cramps. This creates a holistic view of your health over time, not just your period. I often look back at my July 2024 (or any month!) calendar to spot patterns that I wouldn't have noticed otherwise. It's like having a personal health journal right on your phone, making it easier to discuss things with my doctor if needed. Remember how the original post mentioned the articles and summary options? Those are pure gold! The app doesn't just track; it educates. You can find articles within the app about various women's health topics, which is super empowering. And the summary option? You can view trends for your weight, cycles, and even basal body temperature (BBT) if you track it. This data can be incredibly useful for understanding your fertility window or just general health insights. Plus, being able to customize the theme and set reminders, especially for birth control, is a small but mighty detail that makes daily life so much easier. I’ve found the reminders to be a lifesaver! If you're just starting out with WomanLog, my biggest tip is to be consistent with your inputs for the first few cycles. The more data you feed it, the smarter and more accurate WomanLog becomes in its predictions. Don't be afraid to explore all the features – from tracking intercourse to logging medications. It’s designed to adapt to your unique needs, whether you're focusing on general wellness or monitoring pregnancy chances. Compared to simpler built-in trackers or other apps I've tried, WomanLog offers a depth of insight that truly helps you connect with your body. It moves beyond just a simple calendar, giving you a full picture of your cycle health. And the best part? It’s completely free, and honestly, what do you have to lose by giving it a try? It really feels like an app made for women, by women, and I hope it helps you as much as it's helped me!
