I WENT BALD AFTER THIS 😱
i have a disorder called trichotillomania, which causes a person to compulsively pull out their own hair.
i went from having really really long hair, to being mostly bald… but slowly, with help, treatment, and lots of trial-and-error, i’ve managed to start growing my hair back :)) and decided to dye it pink to celebrate and express myself!
you can check out my inst@gram & t!ktok @chloe.creating for more info on my journey. <3

Trichotillomania is a significant challenge for many, often leading to symptoms of anxiety and depression. It's essential to understand that you're not alone in this struggle. Numerous support groups and resources are available to help individuals battling this disorder. Many have found success through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps modify the behavior associated with hair-pulling. It’s also beneficial to connect with communities online and share your experiences as it can promote healing. Celebrating milestones, like dying your hair, can be a powerful form of self-expression and recovery. Furthermore, engaging in stress-relief techniques, such as mindfulness or creative hobbies, may reduce urges and provide a constructive outlet. Stay strong, and remember that recovery is a journey filled with small victories!
