Moments Studying Abroad That Changed Me

I’ve been studying abroad for about 5 weeks now in Copenhagen and these are some of my the things that have really stuck with me.

I have also loved doing all of the big things like museums and excursions, but these little moments have also been so precious.

Sunsets, playing cards, eating fresh food, exploring history, and maintaining a work/life balance have changed the way I look at life.

I want to bring back the things I have learned here to the United States , but I’m not sure how to do this yet. I hope these memories stay with me forever 💗🇩🇰

... Read moreStudying abroad can be a life-changing experience, allowing students to immerse themselves in new cultures and perspectives. Many students report that it broadens their horizons and enhances their personal growth. For instance, activities like exploring local cuisine, visiting historical sites, and building friendships in a different environment can shift one's outlook on life. In Copenhagen, aspects such as the city's vibrant culture, scenic views, and emphasis on social connections have proven to be particularly enriching for students. Engaging in everyday activities—like dining on fresh local food or understanding work/life balance—can significantly alter one's perceptions of happiness and fulfillment. As students reflect on their experiences, they often find themselves changed in profound and unexpected ways. These newfound perspectives can lead to improved emotional intelligence and adaptability, traits that are highly valued in today's interconnected world. Documenting these moments, whether through writing or photography, often helps in cementing their significance. Sharing stories and insights with peers back home can inspire others to pursue similar transformative experiences abroad.
