Foods i’ve made this week

So as you can see… I only managed to snap seven food pics before digging in 😅 I swear I try to be “that girl” who remembers to take aesthetic shots, but the way my fork goes ✈️ straight to the plate every time… lol.

I actually made a few more dishes this week, but these are the only ones that survived my “oops I forgot to take a picture” era 😂

Also—can someone tell me HOW influencers make their food look so perfect?? My tomato soup was literally splattered everywhere after I used the immersion blender 🍅💥 And the kabobs?? Why do everyone else’s look straight and cute while mine are… giving ✨abstract art✨ 🤷🏼‍♀️ Also, is there an easier way to make those cute indents instead of individually pressing a chopstick into each side?😅

I’m always down to try new recipes, so drop your faves in the comments! I’ll try to recreate them (and maybe even remember to take a picture next time 😭📸)

... Read moreSharing your own kitchen creations can be so rewarding, but we all know capturing that perfect food photo is a challenge—especially when the meal is too tempting to wait! For instance, tomato soup often ends up splattered when using an immersion blender, so try blending slowly and in short bursts to reduce mess. When it comes to kabobs, making them look neat and uniform can feel tricky. Instead of pressing indents with a chopstick one by one, consider marinating meat and veggies evenly on skewers and rotating them while grilling to get that picture-perfect presentation. Spaghetti, croutons, and cheesy scrambled eggs with homemade salsa are great comfort foods that can be easily customized. Homemade croutons add a lovely crunch to soups and salads and can be made by tossing cubed white bread with olive oil and seasoning before toasting. For those looking to improve their food photography, natural light is your best friend—aim for morning or late afternoon sunlight near a window. Using simple props like wooden boards or colorful napkins can add charm without complexity. Don’t stress about perfection—authentic, enjoyable food photos tell the real story of your homemade meals. If you’re eager to try new recipes, there are countless tasty options for every skill level. From quick weeknight dinners to sumptuous dishes for special occasions, experimenting with flavors and presentation is part of the fun. Feel free to share your favorite recipes or kitchen struggles with fellow food enthusiasts to inspire and learn from each other. Happy cooking and snapping those food moments, even if the fork always dives in before the camera!
