Rating things I've watched recently
I've recently dived into a variety of movies and TV shows across different genres, and I found that giving honest, straightforward ratings without overanalysis helps me keep track of what’s truly worth my time. For example, Zack Snyder’s "Twilight of the Gods" grabbed my attention with a 6/10—it’s compelling enough to make you want a second season, which is always a good sign for a new franchise. On the other hand, the Shondaland-produced "Even a Wallflower Can Bloom" easily earned a 10/10 from me, proving why it’s my favorite show right now with its elegant storytelling and engaging characters. A Netflix original, "Love Finds A Way Home," stands out as well, scoring an 8/10 for its warmth and heartwarming narrative. I often find that Netflix series have this knack for combining strong emotional pull with excellent production quality. Something that really surprised me was "Sterling Point," a prime original that aired recently and left a strong impression, rating it 9/10. It’s rare when a new series uncovers secrets while maintaining suspense so well. For fans of mystery and intense storylines, it’s a must-watch. Interestingly, some movies I caught up on for nostalgic reasons didn't fully live up to their hype for me—I gave one a 5/10 simply because it felt like I caught it too late; nostalgia alone can’t save a film. Overall, rating shows and movies helps me sort through the overwhelming amount of content available today. If you’re looking for honest, no-frills recommendations, focusing on whether a series or movie holds your attention or stirs genuine emotions has always been my go-to method. What about you? Do you find yourself sticking to genres or creators you trust, or do you often branch out based on reviews like these?
