this is kinda weird.

so I am from Arizona, and have lived here my whole life. my family is from New York, so I’ve gone to visit twice. both times I’ve visited, I’ve gone to Niagara Falls. but I have never been to the Grand Canyon! I just feel like it’s kind of weird/funny how I’ve been to a famous landmark twice in another state, but have never been to the famous landmark of my home! I do plan on visiting one day though!

Both destinations provide unique experiences, yet they underscore an important point: there’s always something new to discover, even close to home. Many travelers share similar stories of visiting far-off places while neglecting local wonders. This creates the perfect opportunity to plan trips that not only fulfill our wanderlust but also help us appreciate our surroundings. As I look forward to visiting the Grand Canyon, I encourage others to share their own travel tales! I’ve been to both once. I was 14 when my family drove from Indiana to Niagara Falls. Then I lived out in phoenix from 2002-2013 and went to the Grand Canyon in 05 when my family flew out to visit. I hated the grand canyon. I hate wide open holes in the ground. But I loved going down to Bisbee, Arizona and did it at least twice a year.
