Day 9- Trust in the Lord
Hi friends! Here is day 9 of the Trusting God Challenge.
If you have an empty journal/notebook grab that for the month to write out scriptures and prayers.
Each day there will be a task to complete that will help you in letting go of fear/control and trusting God.
I pray this challenge helps me and you to draw closer to the Lord.

Starting my day with a quiet morning prayer has become one of the most transformative practices in my life. There's something truly special about those early hours, when the world is still waking up, and the first rays of sunlight filter through the trees. It’s in these peaceful moments that I feel most connected, most ready to embrace the power of trusting God. I’ve been on this journey of learning to let go of fear and control, and I can tell you, it's not always easy. But dedicating time each morning to prayer and reflection makes a huge difference. I like to find a quiet spot, maybe by a window where I can see the dawn, and just breathe. Sometimes I write in my journal, jotting down my worries and then writing out scriptures that speak to my heart. This practice helps me ground myself and remember that I’m not alone in facing overwhelming times. One scripture that has really resonated with me lately, especially when I feel overwhelmed, is Mark 4:39-40. It’s the powerful story where Jesus calms the storm. The disciples were terrified, thinking they were going to drown, and Jesus simply stood up and said, "Peace! Be still!" And immediately, the wind died down, and it was completely calm. He then asked them, "Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?" This passage is such a vivid reminder for me. How often do I let my own 'storms'—whether they're anxieties about the future, daily stressors, or big life changes—drown out my faith? Just like the disciples, I can get so focused on the chaos that I forget who is in the boat with me. Trusting God isn't about having all the answers or never facing difficulties; it's about knowing that even when the waves are crashing, He is there, and He has the power to bring peace. My personal action steps from this scripture involve consciously choosing to speak peace over my own anxieties. When a wave of fear tries to wash over me, I try to pause and remember that command: "Peace! Be still!" I picture Jesus in my own metaphorical boat, ready to calm whatever storm I’m facing. This isn't just wishful thinking; it's actively placing my trust in His divine power and unwavering love. If you're looking for ways to cultivate that sense of calm and deepen your trust, I encourage you to try incorporating a focused scripture into your quiet moments. Write it down, reflect on how it applies to your current struggles, and pray it back to God. Let the peaceful prayer in the sunlight be more than just a beautiful image; let it be a living experience where you truly feel His presence. It's a journey, day by day, letting go of fear and embracing the profound peace that comes from truly trusting in the Lord.

Thank you for sharing these daily prayers! I screenshot them and sending to my nephew and my girls ❤️
