Day 28- Trust in the Lord

Hi friends! Here is day 28 of the Trusting God Challenge.

If you have an empty journal/notebook grab that for the month to write out scriptures and prayers.

Each day there will be a task to complete that will help you in letting go of fear/control and trusting God.

I pray this challenge helps me and you to draw closer to the Lord.

The idea of being 'blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord' has been on my mind, especially when life throws curveballs. Today's focus on Malachi 3:6 – 'The Lord never changes' – is such a powerful anchor, isn't it? I’ve found myself reflecting a lot on what it means that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. In a world that feels like it’s constantly shifting beneath our feet, where trends come and go, and even our own feelings can be so fleeting, having an unchanging God is everything. It’s like finding a solid rock in the middle of a raging river. When I start to feel unstable, that truth reminds me where my true stability comes from. So, what does this 'blessed' state really look like when we trust in Him? For me, it's about finding a deep inner peace that isn't dependent on my circumstances. It's the blessing of knowing I don't have to carry the weight of everything myself. When I release control and lean into His steadfastness, I experience a freedom from anxiety that nothing else can provide. It's not that problems disappear, but my perspective shifts. Instead of panicking, I can say, 'Okay, God, you are my rock, you haven't changed, and you've got this.' If you're like me, letting go of fear and control is a daily battle. That's why this challenge is so helpful. For today's action, beyond just thanking the Lord for His constancy, I'm really digging into what it means to act on that trust. When I feel that familiar sense of instability creeping in – maybe from an unexpected bill, a difficult conversation, or just the general uncertainty of the future – I'm learning to pause. Instead of spiraling, I intentionally look to Him. One practical way I do this is through journaling, just like our challenge suggests. I grab my notebook and write down the scripture, Malachi 3:6, and then I free-write my fears and concerns. But I don't stop there. I then write down what I know to be true about God: He never changes. He is faithful. He is my provider. He is my peace. This act of writing helps to solidify His truth in my heart and mind, countering the unstable feelings with His unchanging promises. It helps me to truly believe that 'blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord.' Another thing I've found incredibly helpful is prayer – not just asking God for things, but truly communing with Him, expressing gratitude for His consistent nature. When I thank Him for being my unshakable rock, even when I feel shaken, it shifts my focus from my problems to His power. It reminds me that He is always the same, always good, always loving. This journey of trusting God is definitely a process, but each day, especially days like Day 28, reinforces that the blessings of relying on an unchanging God are profound. It transforms our fear into faith, our instability into unwavering hope. I encourage you to lean into this truth today – let God be your rock, and experience the incredible peace that comes from trusting in Him fully.
