Day 10- Steadfast in the Lord
Hi friends!
Here is day 10 of the Steadfast in the Lord Challenge!
If you have an empty journal/notebook grab that for the month to write out scriptures and prayers. Each day there will be a task to complete that will help you to be focused on the Lord and not on the situation or problems you might be facing. I pray this challenge helps me and you to keep the faith and grow in Christ.

Hey sister in Christ! You know how sometimes life just gets *a lot*? I've been there, feeling overwhelmed and struggling to start my day with a clear mind and spirit. That's why I absolutely love our 'Steadfast in the Lord' journey. It’s been such a game-changer for me, especially finding those moments of quiet reflection and prayer each morning. Many of you have asked about quick, meaningful ways to connect with God when you're short on time, looking for those 'short morning prayers' that truly resonate. I totally get it! Sometimes you just need a simple, heartfelt conversation with Him to set the tone for your day. It’s not about perfection, but presence. Here are a few quick prayer ideas I use, inspired by our '30 day Challenge' to help you center your heart and mind, even on the busiest mornings. You can adapt these or use them as a springboard for your own personal prayers. Remember, God just wants to hear from you! 1. The Gratitude Starter: 'Good morning, Lord! Thank You for this new day, for the breath in my lungs, and for Your unfailing love. Help me to see Your blessings even in the small things today. Amen.' This one is perfect for when you're focusing on 'Reflection: What do you seek from God daily?' – often, what we seek is gratitude for what we already have, and strength for what's ahead. 2. The Guidance Seeker: 'Heavenly Father, I surrender this day and its challenges to You. Guide my steps, words, and thoughts. Help me to make choices that honor You and serve others. Grant me wisdom and discernment. Amen.' This prayer helps me when I'm feeling uncertain or have big decisions. It’s a great way to 'start your day by reading' a scripture on wisdom, like Proverbs, and then immediately applying it to your day. 3. The Peace & Strength Prayer: 'Lord, I pray for Your peace to fill my heart and mind today, guarding me against anxiety and fear. Strengthen me for whatever lies ahead, and remind me that You are always with me. Amen.' This is my go-to when I feel anxieties creeping in, reminding me to be 'steadfast in the Lord' no matter the situation. After reading a comforting Psalm, I often journal about 'how I am feeling and what I am needing from the Lord that day,' and this prayer often expresses those needs. 4. The Focus & Purpose Prayer: 'Dear God, help me to stay focused on Your purpose for my life today. Keep my eyes on You, and help me to be a vessel of Your love and grace to everyone I encounter. Amen.' This prayer helps align my intentions with God's, making sure my actions reflect my faith. It’s a beautiful way to kick off the 'Action: Take the time today to start your day by reading' portion of our challenge. How to make these prayers your own: Don't just recite them! Take a moment to truly feel the words. As the challenge encourages, 'After reading Journal about how you are feeling and what you are needing from the Lord that day.' Use these short prayers as a launching pad for deeper reflection. What specific blessings are you grateful for? What specific guidance do you need? What specific fears are you releasing? The beauty of these short morning prayers is that they fit perfectly into our daily routine, whether you're a busy mom, working professional, or just someone seeking a closer walk with God. They help us pause, breathe, and remember who is truly in control. Let's keep encouraging each other on this 'Steadfast in the Lord' journey – every prayer, big or small, makes a difference!
