Hat Yai Airport is the main airport of Songkhla Province and is the gateway to Hat Yai-Songkhla including neighboring provinces. It is suitable for people to come to work, to visit the city of Hat Yai or to use it as the next stop to southern tourist destinations.

Inside the airport, there are a few restaurants and food, drink and snack distribution points. It is suitable to leave your stomach before boarding or buy food with you on the go.
If there is time, it is recommended to allow time for food before entering the boarding gate, because the options outside and inside the building may be different, and some shops have on-off times by flight range.
📍 The airport is not big. Travel is not complicated.

ถ้าเพื่อนๆ กำลังค้นหา “สนามบินใกล้จังหวัดสงขลา” และอยากได้ตัวเลือกที่เดินทางสะดวกที่สุด จากประสบการณ์ส่วนตัวขอแนะนำ “ท่าอากาศยานหาดใหญ่ (Hat Yai International Airport – HDY)” เลยค่ะ เพราะเป็นสนามบินหลักของโซนหาดใหญ่–สงขลา และใช้เป็นจุดเริ่มต้นไปเที่ยวจังหวัดใกล้เคียงฝั่งใต้ได้ดีมาก สิ่งที่เราชอบคือสนามบินหาดใหญ่ “ขนาดกำลังดี” ไม่ต้องเดินไกลเหมือนสนามบินใหญ่ๆ แต่ก็มีบริการพื้นฐานครบ ตั้งแต่โซนเช็กอินที่มีป้าย Check-in ชัดเจน ไปจนถึงจุด Self Check-in (ออกบัตรโดยสารด้วยตนเอง) สำหรับบางสายการบิน ช่วยประหยัดเวลาตอนคนเยอะ โดยเฉพาะช่วงเช้าหรือช่วงวันหยุดยาว เรื่องการเตรียมตัวก่อนบิน แนะนำให้เผื่อเวลาไว้สักนิด เพราะแม้สนามบินจะเดินง่าย แต่บางช่วงคิวเช็กอิน/ตรวจบัตรโดยสารอาจยาวได้ ถ้ามีกระเป๋าโหลดหรือมากันหลายคน เราจะชอบมาถึงก่อนเวลาขึ้นเครื่องประมาณ 1.5–2 ชั่วโมงเพื่อความชัวร์ แล้วค่อยไปหาอะไรกิน สายกินก็ไม่ต้องกังวลมาก ภายในมีร้านค้าและมุมของกินพอสมควร ทั้งน้ำ ขนม ของว่าง หรือหาอะไรรองท้องก่อนขึ้นเครื่องได้ แต่ทริกของเราคือ “เช็กเวลาเปิด–ปิด” ล่วงหน้า โดยเฉพาะไฟลต์เช้ามากหรือดึกมาก ร้านบางร้านอาจยังไม่เปิด ทำให้ตัวเลือกน้อยกว่าปกติ ถ้าอยากกินจริงจัง แนะนำให้กินมาจากด้านนอกหรือแวะในเมืองก่อนออกมาสนามบิน อีกจุดที่หลายคนมองหา คือสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวก เราเคยสังเกตว่ามีห้องละหมาด (Muslim Prayer Room) ด้วย เหมาะกับคนที่ต้องการใช้บริการระหว่างรอเที่ยวบิน สุดท้ายคือการเข้าเมือง/ไปสงขลา จากสนามบินหาดใหญ่มีหลายทางเลือก เช่น แท็กซี่ รถเช่า หรือบริการรถรับส่งต่างๆ ส่วนตัวถ้าต้องเข้าเมืองช่วงเวลาเร่งด่วน เราจะเผื่อเวลาเดินทางเป็นพิเศษ เพราะถนนบางช่วงรถติดได้ ถ้าวางแผนล่วงหน้าเรื่องรถรับส่ง จะทำให้ทริป “สงขลา–หาดใหญ่” เริ่มต้นได้ลื่นมากค่ะ
