The Braces Girls Trio

Hey everyone! I’m so excited you’re checking out my Braces Girls Trio art featuring Flute Girl, Mabel Pines, and of course, the queen of wackiness herself, Wacky Jackie Wackerman! When I first thought about this crossover, I knew Jackie had to be a part of it. She's just got that unmistakable energy, always ready for an adventure or a wild scheme in "Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil." Her character always made me laugh, and I love how she embraces her unique style, including those iconic dental braces! For those who might not know her as well as Mabel or Flute Girl, Jackie Wackerman is one of the most memorable characters from her show. She's known for her incredibly enthusiastic (and sometimes a bit obsessive!) personality. She's often seen with her signature braces, which add to her quirky charm. It got me thinking: how many cool cartoon characters actually rock braces? Not enough, right? That’s why bringing her into this "Braces Girls Trio" was a no-brainer. She brings such a fun, unpredictable dynamic to the group, standing side-by-side with Mabel's upbeat energy and Flute Girl's mysterious vibe. Creating crossover art like this is one of my favorite things to do. It’s so much fun imagining how different characters from various Disney shows would interact. For this piece, I really focused on capturing their individual personalities while also giving them a cohesive feel as a trio. I loved drawing them all smiling, showcasing their dental braces, which became the central theme. It’s not just about them having braces; it’s about celebrating what makes them unique and relatable. Many of us had braces, or know someone who did, and it’s a shared experience that makes these characters feel even more real and endearing. When I was sketching out Flute Girl, Mabel Pines, and Wacky Jackie Wackerman, I tried to think about what kind of shenanigans they’d get up to together. Maybe Mabel would teach Jackie some of her craft skills, or Jackie would convince Flute Girl to join one of her wild stunts! The possibilities are endless, and that's the magic of fan art. This particular cartoon drawing, with its simple plain gray background, really lets their personalities shine through. And speaking of characters with braces, who else do you think would fit into a "Braces Girls Trio"? There are so many animated characters out there, and I’m always looking for new inspiration. It’s cool to see characters, especially girls, depicted with such a common experience. It adds a layer of authenticity and relatability that I really appreciate in animation.
