Day 24 — God Leads Step by Step
“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”

It’s natural to want clarity about the whole journey—where we’re going, how long it will take, and what the outcome will be. Yet God often chooses to lead us one step at a time. Not because He lacks direction, but because He is teaching us dependence.
We may make plans with the best intentions, but Scripture reminds us that it is the Lord who establishes each step. God is not asking you to see the entire path—He is asking you to trust Him with the next obedient step. Sometimes guidance comes quietly, through small nudges rather than dramatic signs. Those small steps, when taken in faith, move us exactly where God intends.
Trusting God step by step keeps our hearts surrendered. It reminds us that progress is not measured by speed, but by faithfulness. When you walk with Him daily, He faithfully orders the way forward.

Prayer
Lord, I confess that I often want to see the whole picture before I move. Teach me to trust You one step at a time. Establish my steps according to Your will, not my fear or impatience. Help me walk forward in faith, knowing that You are guiding every part of the journey. In Jesus’ name, amen.

I’ve found that when I focus on following the 'next step' God places before me, rather than stressing over an unknown future, my anxiety diminishes and my confidence in His plan grows. Ultimately, walking with God step by step strengthens our relationship with Him and aligns our journey with His perfect timing and purpose.
