Day 15 — Strength That Carries You

Scripture:

“My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9 (KJV)

Reflection:

There are moments when you feel like you’ve reached your limit—mentally, emotionally, even spiritually. You’ve given what you can, and it still doesn’t feel like enough.

But God never asked you to be enough on your own.

His strength shows up right in the middle of your weakness. Not after you figure it out. Not once you get stronger. But right there, in the place where you feel stretched, tired, and unsure.

Weakness isn’t where you fail—it’s where God steps in.

What you see as a breaking point, God sees as a meeting point—where His grace meets your need, and His power carries what you can’t.

You don’t have to hide your weakness.

You don’t have to pretend you’ve got it all together.

That’s exactly where His strength becomes real.

Question:

Where have you been relying on your own strength instead of allowing God to carry you?

Prayer:

Lord, I admit that I get tired trying to do everything on my own.

Help me to stop striving and start trusting.

Teach me to lean on Your strength instead of my own.

Remind me that Your grace is enough for every moment I face.

Carry me in the places where I feel weak, and let Your power be seen in my life.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

At times when I felt overwhelmed or drained—whether emotionally, mentally, or spiritually—I tried to push through relying on my own abilities. But it was only when I surrendered those moments and allowed God's grace and strength to fill those gaps that I truly felt renewed and supported. This scripture reassures us that weakness isn’t a failure or a shortcoming; instead, it becomes the very place where divine power becomes evident. For example, during a particularly challenging season in my life, I struggled to make decisions and felt paralyzed by uncertainty. Instead of pretending I had it all together, I embraced my limitations and leaned into prayer and trust. Through this, I experienced a peace and strength beyond what I could muster on my own. It's important to remember that God's grace is sufficient at all times—even in moments when you feel weak and incapable. This grace doesn’t come after you 'get stronger' or figure everything out; it is present right in the midst of your struggles, ready to carry you through. When you open your heart and admit that you cannot do it alone, you make space for God's power to be fully revealed in your life. I encourage anyone feeling stretched thin to reflect on where they've been trying to go it alone, and to invite God’s strength into those areas. Letting go of self-reliance and embracing divine support can be one of the most freeing and empowering steps on the journey of faith.
