Day 20 — Strength to Keep Showing Up

“Let us not grow weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” — Galatians 6:9

Devotional:

There’s a kind of strength that doesn’t look impressive from the outside.

It’s not loud.

It’s not flashy.

It doesn’t always feel powerful.

It’s the strength to simply keep showing up.

Showing up when you’re tired.

Showing up when you don’t feel motivated.

Showing up when you’re not seeing results yet.

This is the kind of faith that God honors.

Because real growth doesn’t happen in moments—it happens in consistency. It happens in the quiet decisions to keep going when quitting would be easier.

The enemy wants you to believe that what you’re doing isn’t working. That your prayers aren’t changing anything. That your effort is being wasted.

But God’s Word reminds you:

There is a harvest coming.

Not because you were perfect.

Not because you had it all figured out.

But because you didn’t quit.

Every time you choose to show up in faith, you’re planting seeds. Seeds of obedience. Seeds of trust. Seeds that will grow in God’s timing—not yours.

You may not see it yet…

But something is happening beneath the surface.

So don’t measure your progress by what you feel today.

Measure it by your willingness to stay faithful.

Keep praying.

Keep trusting.

Keep showing up.

Your “due season” is not a possibility—it’s a promise.

Reflection:

Where in your life do you feel tempted to stop showing up—and what would it look like to stay consistent in that area?

Prayer:

Lord, when I feel tired and discouraged, give me the strength to keep showing up. Help me to trust that You are working even when I don’t see it. Remind me that my faithfulness matters and that every step of obedience is planting seeds for what You have promised. Give me endurance to keep going, and help me not to quit before the harvest comes. In Jesus’ name, amen.

... Read moreIn many journeys of faith and personal growth, the hardest part often isn’t in the beginning but in the ongoing, daily commitment to keep showing up—even when progress seems invisible. From my own experiences, I have realized that true strength lies not in grand gestures, but in the humble act of persistence. When life drains your energy or doubts whisper that your efforts are futile, it can feel tempting to quit. However, maintaining that quiet yet steady faith—like the passage from Galatians 6:9 reminds us—is crucial because growth happens beneath the surface and in God’s perfect timing. From planting seeds in a garden metaphor to everyday prayers and actions, consistency cultivates trust and obedience. I've noticed that the more I choose to keep engaging with my goals or spiritual disciplines, even when outcomes are delayed, the more a deep inner resilience builds. It’s a strength not always flashy or loud, but it sustains us through challenges. This perspective also helped me resist the enemy’s tactics—those discouraging thoughts that our prayers don’t matter or that no change is happening. The encouragement is that a harvest is coming, not because of perfection or complete understanding, but because of the refusal to give up. This promise helps me focus on my faithfulness rather than immediate results. Practicing this daily—whether by prayer, acts of kindness, or personal reflection—creates a foundation that God honors. It’s important to reflect on areas in life where giving up is tempting and deliberately choose to stay consistent, knowing each small step is planting seeds for future blessings. Ultimately, perseverance anchored in faith cultivates spiritual and personal growth. When you feel weary, remembering that your due season is a divine promise—not a possibility—can provide profound motivation to keep showing up and trusting in the process.
