Need help hearing God? 👇
Do you struggle to hear God?
I can help.
Get still and quiet.
Whether you take a pen or just listen, allow your mind to hear what God has to say.
Ask Him, God would you speak to me? I desire to know you.
Wait for a reply.
No, seriously.
Just get still and listen.
Did you hear anything?
Sometimes our minds can over-analyze and get in the way of our hearing God.
Somewhere inside you may have told yourself that God couldn’t talk to you.
Why not you?
He made you, didn’t He?
It’s not odd that a Father would want to communicate with His son/daughter.
Keep practicing this until your mind calms and stops assuming.
You have always heard the Lord— just through other means.
Perhaps you felt His tug in a song, when the chords struck just right and touched your heart.
Maybe you’ve hiked mountains and listened to the thrashing waterfall mesmerized by nature, by creation.
You’re drawn to what He made.
He will use anything to get your attention.
He wants tryout heart, all of it.
He isn’t a half-ass kind of guy.
HE is a pure hearted loving, genuine Papa.
He wants to hear from you.
He’s the kind of dad that would hang your paintings on the fridge.
He would spin you around and around or dance with you in the kitchen.
He’s a good dad.
So what do you have to lose.
Ask.
Get still and listen.
Many people find hearing God challenging because our modern lives are overwhelming and noisy, making it difficult to find true stillness. From my personal journey, I’ve discovered that creating intentional quiet time in my daily routine is essential. This doesn’t necessarily mean prolonged meditation sessions; even just five minutes of focused silence can help. One method that profoundly helped me was journaling my prayers and thoughts. Writing down what I ask God and any impressions or feelings that follow helped me recognize patterns in how God communicates. Sometimes, it’s not an audible voice but a sense of peace or a vivid memory that triggers deeper understanding. I also realized that God often uses the beauty of creation to speak to us, aligning with the idea that we hear Him through songs, waterfalls, or nature’s wonders. For example, during a recent hike near a roaring waterfall, I felt overwhelmed by a sense of calm that I now understand as God's way to reach my heart. If you find your mind racing or doubting, know this is normal. The key is persistence and honesty — keep asking, keep listening without forcing answers. Over time, the noise settles, and you’ll notice subtle nudges, comforting reminders, or moments of clarity that feel like God’s voice. Remember the inspirational phrase from the image: "Speak to me, God. I'm listening..." This openness is vital. God delights in a genuine relationship, much like a loving parent who treasures every word and gesture from their child. Approach Him with the same childlike faith and simplicity. Lastly, community and shared faith experiences can also enhance hearing God. Talking with others, reading scripture, or joining prayer groups can provide fresh perspectives and encouragement on your spiritual listening journey. Embrace these moments as parts of God's way of speaking to you. In short, hearing God requires stillness, patience, and openness to recognize His diverse ways of communication. Practice regularly by being still, asking sincerely, and trusting that God will speak — sometimes softly, sometimes through life’s beauty — but He will speak.
