This was my first romantic suspense and I am here for it! I loved the mystery and romance mix this story brought. I also haven’t ever read Catherine Cowles, but I feel like I’m going to really like her books!
Ridley Sawyer is a true crime podcaster who has been traveling around covering cold cases. She might not have found closure in her sister’s case, but that doesn’t stop her from trying to help others.
She has pieced together 24 possible missing person’s cases and ends up in a small town trying to talk to one of the surviving girls when she runs into sheriff, Colter Brooks. He does not like Ridley and tries to get in her way when he finds out she is there investigating his sisters abduction. When Ridley is attacked at her campsite Colter decides he is going to help in her investigation and make sure she stays safe by allowing her to live at his house.
