Are you flower girl?
I love fresh flowers if there’s one thing that I know, I love to see a vase full of fresh cut flowers next to my bed. so I went to my local Wegmans supermarket, which is like a natural supermarket that sells fresh Whole Foods & their own product line, but their flowers in their floral department is the top-tier best so what I did was pick out individual flowers instead of buying the ones that are premade and it ended up being more cost-effective because it only came to $22, especially for these type of flowers for the three pieces.
Once I took it out of the package, cut them place them in water and added the packet ingredients; for longevity of the flowers if you do not have that little packet that comes with the flowers, or run out you can add sugar.
With fresh flowers you change the water every two to three days & a little sugar it usually last about two weeks the most. so if you like pretty things to look at and smell to brighten your day when you wake up in the morning you turn and you see Flowers next to your bed is the ultimate, try it!!
👍Pros: smell good, self gift, pretty to look at
🤔Cons: don’t last forever 🎉🤷🏾♀️
Hey everyone! So glad you're loving the idea of bringing fresh flowers into your home. There's truly nothing like that instant mood boost and touch of elegance they add, right? Building on my tips for making them last, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into how you can truly embrace that gorgeous flower pinterest aesthetic and keep your bouquet of flowers thriving for even longer. First off, let's talk about choosing the right blooms. While I love the variety at places like Wegmans, knowing a few flower types and names can really elevate your DIY arrangements. For that classic, romantic look, pink peonies are an absolute dream, just like the ones in my pictures. They're seasonal, but when you can get them, they're worth it! For year-round cheer, gerbera daisies (especially the pink and white ones) are fantastic and come in so many vibrant colors. And don't forget the delicate touch of baby's breath – it’s perfect for filling out any arrangement and adds a soft, airy feel, becoming that lovely baby flower touch without being overwhelming. Other great, long-lasting options for floral home care include carnations, chrysanthemums, and alstroemeria. To really nail that fresh flower aesthetic and make your blooms last, proper care is key. Beyond changing the water every few days and adding that little packet of flower food (or a pinch of sugar!), I’ve found a few extra tricks. Always re-cut the stems at an angle every time you change the water – this helps them drink better. Also, make sure no leaves are below the waterline in your vase, as they can rot and create bacteria, shortening your flowers' life. Placing your fresh flowers away from direct sunlight, heating vents, or ripening fruit can also significantly extend their vibrancy. Thinking about capturing your beautiful creations? For fresh flowers photo opportunities, natural light is your best friend! Position your bouquet of flowers near a window, but avoid harsh direct sun. Experiment with different angles – a close-up on a delicate peony petal or a wider shot showcasing your entire arrangement can both be stunning. A simple, uncluttered background makes your flowers truly pop. And while my original post was about self-gifting, these tips are perfect if you're ever putting together happy birthday flowers for a friend or creating a thoughtful gift for someone special. A hand-arranged bouquet of flowers with a mix of beautiful gerbera daisies and baby's breath shows so much more care than a pre-made one. It's truly a gift from the heart! Embracing fresh flowers in your home isn't just about decoration; it's a little act of self-care and a way to add daily joy. Try experimenting with different flower combinations and care routines, and you'll soon become a pro at keeping your home blooming!
