“All who believe in the Son of God know in their hearts that this testimony is true.

Those who don’t believe this are actually calling God a liar because they don’t believe what God has testified about His Son.

And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.

Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life.

I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life. And we are confident that He hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases Him.”

‭‭-1 John‬ ‭5‬:‭10‬-‭14‬

... Read moreReflecting on the passage from 1 John 5:10-14 alongside the testimony of water, blood, and the Spirit in 1 John 5:6-9, I have found a profound sense of reassurance in my faith journey. The scripture emphasizes that eternal life is a gift given through belief in Jesus Christ, God's Son. What resonates deeply is the idea that faith is not just intellectual agreement but a heartfelt trust that affirms God's truth rather than calling Him a liar. From my own experience, embracing this testimony means living with a confident hope that life extends beyond what we see. The references to the Spirit, water, and blood highlight that Jesus’ baptism and sacrifice are central to this truth—affirming both His divinity and humanity as "fully God, fully human." This balance helps me relate to His experiences and recognize the magnitude of His sacrifice. The confidence mentioned in the passage—that God hears us whenever we ask according to His will—has transformed my prayer life. It encourages persistence in prayer, knowing that my requests aligned with God's pleasure are heard. Sharing this testimony strengthens our identity as children of God and calls us to "give Him glory" through our daily walk of faith. In practical terms, living out this belief means continuously nurturing a relationship with Jesus, reflecting on His testimony revealed through water, blood, and the Spirit, and encouraging others to find peace in the promise of eternal life. It is a journey of faith, gratitude (#thankYouJesus), and commitment to honoring God's testimony in all aspects of life.
