Day 12: Sandcastles

You need that perfect consistency – moist enough to hold its shape when packed, but not so saturated it collapses. Next, Gather Your Tools. Forget tiny plastic shovels for a serious build! You'll want a sturdy spade for digging, various sizes of buckets (especially larger ones for carrying water and mixing sand), and some carving tools. Even a simple plastic knife, a trowel, or even your hands can become excellent sculpting instruments. For a truly life-size structure, consider bringing a small, portable shovel and even a large bucket or two dedicated just to water. The Foundation is Crucial. Start by making a large, solid mound of damp sand. Pack it down firmly. This will be the base for your main castle structure. Think wide and stable. Once your main castle structure has some shape, begin digging a trench around its perimeter.
