I am not for everyone

... Read moreFrom personal experience, embracing the mindset that "I am not for everyone" has been incredibly liberating. In a world that often pushes for conformity and surface-level interactions, choosing to be authentic—even if it means a smaller circle—can deepen the quality of your relationships significantly. I used to feel pressure to fit in and engage with people just to feel included. But over time, I realized that forcing connections only leads to empty conversations and drained energy. Instead, I began to prioritize genuine interactions where both parties truly connect on a meaningful level. This shift has helped me form bonds where there is real understanding and mutual respect. The phrase "I don't fake energy" resonates deeply with me. Maintaining authentic energy can be challenging but crucial in building trust. When your vibe speaks the same language as someone else's, the connection flows naturally. It's not about the quantity of friends or acquaintances, but the quality and sincerity. I also value deep conversations over superficial talk. It’s refreshing to engage in discussions where thoughts and feelings are openly shared, creating a safe space for vulnerability. This approach might mean a smaller social circle, but those relationships are far more fulfilling. In embracing this mindset, I no longer see being "not for everyone" as a limitation but as a strength. It aligns with the hashtag #builtdifferent, highlighting that being true to yourself fosters genuine connections that matter. Ultimately, it's about surrounding yourself with those who appreciate your authentic self, and that is worth so much more than widespread acceptance.

I think everyone should know these.
#lemon8diarychallenge It’s so important to learn these! It may seem like it’s not but it is! My 3 year old niece has learned these and she’s completely verbal. It’s nice as a just in case she meets a child who isn’t and can at least converse a little. Tags: #signlanguage #asl #children
