preeclampsia awareness
I always wanted more for my first birth, but instead, I suffer from birth trauma, which I’m sure many women do. I feel like preeclampsia has not talked about enough or watched for enough as the ball was dropped on me many times and I was sent home twice with different diagnosis. And had not been for that third doctor I wouldn’t be here today. Women’s health should be taken a lot more seriously and also the things that can come before during and after pregnancy. ❤️#preeclampsia #preeclampsiasurvivor
Preeclampsia is a serious condition affecting many pregnant women, characterized by high blood pressure and potential organ damage. Awareness around this condition can be lifesaving, as early detection is crucial. Women often experience non-specific symptoms that may be dismissed, leading to tragic outcomes. It's vital to educate both patients and healthcare providers about the signs of preeclampsia, including headaches, vision changes, and sudden swelling. Sharing personal stories, like in this article, contributes to a greater understanding of preeclampsia and encourages open discussions on women's health issues. Initiatives aimed at increasing awareness can lead to more research, improved healthcare protocols, and ultimately, better outcomes for moms and their babies. Healthcare providers should prioritize patient education in prenatal care to help women recognize symptoms and seek timely treatment.
