Adopting a dog is a gift you didn’t know you needed

Plz go and rescue a furry friend bc they don’t deserve to be alone without love.

I saw this sweetheart of a dog at Neo’s daycare the other day

And I really want to rescue her but apparently I’m crazy for considering it (🥺😒😒😒😒😒 nor does anyone want to help with a 3 legged dog which is another issue entirely (!!! 🤬 !!! For real she’s perfect) but she is a 3 year old tripaw dog and gets passed up all the time bc she is handicapped

I genuinely adore how she doesn’t seem to let her handicap stop her from living life 🖤 and if I can’t help her can someone out there love her please?????? 🥺

Adopting Neo was the best decision of my life and he truly saved my life…I was newly clean and alone in a place I didn’t know and when he found me New Years Eve — destiny knew we both had been broken and in need of learning love. And you guys know how special Neo is!!!

Rescue dogs are so humble and grateful — it’s the most beautifully rewarding relationship you can have honestly and fulfills parts of you that you didn’t know you needed to. And they legit will die for you bc you’re their person.

I’m just sitting here staring at Neo sleeping and thought of this little angel and wanted to share this for some reason.

Don’t let any creature feel unloved or alone. They deserve the best, too. More than most humans honestly…lolllllllll 😂😂😂

The dog park is my favorite place / picking Neo up from daycare is the most beautiful thing ever except when he doesn’t want to leave and he pretends I don’t exist LOL! There’s a joy you can’t know until you rescue or own your own pet.

Anyway I’m feeling like the world needs love right now and animals = love in the purest form that we truly don’t even deserve

If you have any questions about adoption and rescues please feel free to ask me!!!!!! #fyp #rescuedog

... Read moreAdopting a rescue dog can be a life-changing experience, not only for the dog but also for the adopter. From personal experience, welcoming Neo, a rescue dog, into my life has profoundly changed me. Rescue dogs, especially those with special needs like tripaw dogs, often face challenges finding forever homes due to misconceptions about their abilities. However, these dogs demonstrate immense resilience and boundless love that surpasses any physical limitation. When you open your heart and home to a handicapped rescue dog, you gain a unique companion whose gratitude is genuine and inspiring. For example, dogs like Kiah, a three-year-old three-legged husky mix, often get overlooked in shelters despite their affectionate nature and adaptability. They tend to form deep bonds with their adopters and thrive with proper care and understanding. Watching Kiah’s spirited zoomies or Neo’s joyful moments at the dog park reveals their zest for life—they truly don’t let their handicap stop them from living fully. Beyond companionship, adopting rescue dogs can heal emotional wounds, much like it did for me during a difficult time of isolation and recovery. These dogs’ humble and loving nature fills parts of you you didn’t know were empty. Additionally, rescue organizations play a pivotal role by not only placing animals in loving homes but also educating future pet owners on responsible care, positive training, and the importance of spaying/neutering. If you’re considering adoption, don't hesitate to ask experienced adopters or rescue groups about the process. Understanding the needs and special traits of rescue dogs can prepare you for a rewarding journey. Volunteering at local shelters or fostering can also offer a glimpse into the profound impact these dogs have. Ultimately, rescue dogs embody love in its purest form—they don’t judge, and their loyalty is unwavering. Giving a second chance to a homeless or handicapped dog is truly one of the greatest gifts you can receive and give. If we all contribute, even in small ways by sharing information or supporting rescues, we can ensure no furry friend feels lonely or unloved. Embrace the joy, love, and healing that come with adopting a rescue dog—you might just find the friend and family you didn’t know you needed.

My family and I just recently adopted a tripawed cat from a shelter. We knew she was the cat for us when we saw her and seeing her come out of her shell is so heartwarming.
