Had to go to the Hospital for my Tics.

This is the first time I've had a tic attack so bad I had to go to the hospital. It was painful, exhausting, and a little embarrassing, though the staff were super understanding and helpful so it made it a little less embarrassing.

I had to try many meds to get it to finally stop. Eventually a combination worked and I was able to stop ticcing. Definitely a 0/10 experience, would not do again.

It's important to understand that tics are involuntary movements or sounds often associated with conditions like Tourette syndrome. For many, including myself, a severe tic episode can lead to emergency medical situations. In my case, the attack lasted over five hours, beginning in the afternoon and continuing until late at night, forcing me to seek hospital care. While in the hospital, I learned about varying treatment options, including different medications aimed at alleviating tics. Each individual's experience with Tourette syndrome can vary significantly, necessitating personalized care plans. Medical staff are usually well-prepared to deal with such cases, and their support plays a crucial role in comforting patients during distressing times. Tic disorders are often misunderstood, and public awareness is essential for reducing stigma associated with them. Support networks and advocacy groups have been proven to help individuals navigate the complexities of living with these conditions. Engaging in community discussions about Tourette syndrome can foster understanding and build supportive connections among those affected. Overall, awareness and education can empower individuals, families, and healthcare professionals to work together effectively in managing tic disorders.

I have tics too, and I feel you I go to school and people always stare and even parents look at me funny It hurts but I would stare if someone couldn't stop twitching
