What’s in my bags as a chronically ill girly

Whats in my bags;

BEFORE I moved, I did work in office but I am now remote, so I do not have a work bag!

School bag;

- Macbook for lessons, meetings, assignments, and other personal stuff.

- iPad for readings and annotating textbooks.

- Graph notebook for ALL my notes. I ALWAYS use graph so its easier go organize my notes for each class.

- Sticky notes to differentiate different topics for different courses so its easier to locate.

Purse;

- Wallet attached to my car keys, super convenient for me so I don’t lose one or the other (memory loss).

- Binder that I custom made as I never was fully in love with any of the planners I could find. The binder has each month, meal plans for each week, and an expense tracker. It also has blank bullet journal pages for me to journal!

- Prescription sunnies, I’m usually wearing my glasses so I don’t typically use these.

- Pouch with hand sanitizer, a power bank, nail glue, eyebrow gel, and chapstick from YSL. I don’t wear makeup so that’s the only essentials that I need!

Travel med bag;

- Weekly meds. I always carry these just incase I forget to take them or I am going to be somewhere longer than anticipated.

- Feminine products, I always stay stocked on these incase someone else needs them!

- Just incase meds, they are really jus incase I have a flare up so bad that I can’t function.

- Heart rate monitor because while my apple watch is great for long term tracking, it is best to have best accuracy when I am in a physical crisis.

- Electrolytes and I have two kinds in here. One kind is decent sodium to drink throughout the day that keeps me on my feet and the other is a LOT of sodium if I faint.

Med bag;

- This was just to show how I store my medications. I use a coach cosmetic case to store them and they usually fit perfectly.

... Read moreLiving with a chronic illness means that being prepared is not just a convenience but a necessity. Over time, I have learned the importance of organizing my daily essentials to manage my health while maintaining my academic and personal life effectively. One key item I always keep in my school bag is a graph notebook. I find that graph paper helps me organize notes visually and clearly, which is especially helpful for a wide range of subjects. Coupled with sticky notes, I can easily mark different topics or courses, saving time and reducing stress when studying or attending lessons remotely. For my purse, I customized a binder that serves multiple purposes. Not only does it hold my meal plans and expense tracker, but it also functions as a bullet journal. This system helps me keep track of my health, diet, and finances all in one place. Attaching my wallet to my car keys is a small yet effective method I use to combat memory loss—this simple trick ensures I never lose them separately. When it comes to managing my health on the go, my travel med bag is my lifeline. It carries weekly medications, backup just-in-case meds for flare-ups, feminine products, and vital supplies like electrolytes with varying sodium levels. These have helped me maintain my energy and manage symptoms during unexpected episodes. I also carry a dedicated heart rate monitor because it provides more accurate real-time data during physical crises compared to my Apple Watch, which is more useful for long-term tracking. Medications are neatly stored in a Coach cosmetic case, a choice that combines style and practicality. This helps me keep everything compact and easily accessible without confusion or clutter. Incorporating these items into my daily routine has helped me stay organized, reduce anxiety about managing my condition, and allowed me to focus better on my studies and personal growth. For anyone dealing with chronic illness, personalizing your bags with items that support both your health and lifestyle can make a significant difference in daily life and long-term wellbeing.
