I still need to lose about 40 more pounds and I will be back to my old weight but as i have lost weight this time I’m learning I also need to lose inches especially in my belly
Losing weight is often seen purely in terms of numbers on the scale, but for many of us, the way our clothes fit and the inches we lose around our waist matter just as much. I’ve personally found that while my weight has decreased, the real challenge has been targeting the stubborn belly inches that seem to linger. It’s a common experience because fat loss doesn’t always occur uniformly across the body. One important lesson I’ve learned is that combining weight loss with strength training and core-focused exercises can significantly help in trimming belly inches. Cardio exercises like walking or cycling aid in overall fat loss, but adding abdominal exercises such as planks, leg raises, and Russian twists enhances muscle tone and tightens the core area. Another key aspect is nutrition. Reducing processed foods and sugary drinks while increasing protein and fiber intake supports fat loss and helps control hunger. Staying consistent with hydration and avoiding late-night snacking also seem to impact my progress. Tracking both weight and measurements regularly has kept me motivated. Sometimes the scale may not show a big drop, but noticing smaller waist measurements is a rewarding sign that progress is happening. Remember, losing inches around the belly often improves posture and reduces health risks associated with abdominal fat. Lastly, the mental journey is crucial. Patience and self-compassion help maintain motivation during plateaus or slow phases. Celebrating small victories like fitting into smaller clothes or increased energy helps me stay focused and determined. Losing weight and inches is a holistic process that takes time but feels empowering when you see real changes.
