📖 Writing a book is one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done—but it’s also one of the most challenging. Whether you're dreaming about writing or already knee-deep in a draft, here are 3 things that will help you.

1. Your First Draft Will Be Messy—and That’s Okay.

You don’t have to get it perfect; you just have to get it out. Don’t let perfectionism paralyze your progress. Get the words down. You can shape them later.

2. The Message Matters More Than the Metrics.

It’s easy to get caught up in Amazon rankings and sales goals. But if your book helps even one person, it’s worth it. Impact > impressions. Like my favorite author Mark Batterson says, “a book sold is not a book sold; a book sold is a prayer answered."

3. Publishing Is a Marathon, Not a Sprint.

From proposals to edits to marketing, it takes time. Be patient with the process. Stay faithful to what God has put in your heart—and trust His timing.
