Wooo This was Hard Mode but Cute

I brought this hairstyle back. I used to wear this style back in middle school in 96, but this method I haven't tried until now. This idea came to me from me wanting to bring weight to my braids. So it's not really boho braids, just the feed in install is used at the ends of my hair. The hair is synthetic, very curly and can tangle easily (ngl). They call it French deep curl back in the day but it's now called Italian curly? What they call French curl today was called tape curls. Anyways, took me a few days in between work. Need lots of patience, and touch ups may be required after a couple weeks. Took 1 pack of hair with a little of the 2nd pack btw. I cut the 10 inch in half since its what I call anchor braids . #braids #braidstyle #protectivehairstyles

When I first attempted using synthetic curly hair for these braids, I quickly learned how easily the texture can tangle, making handling and installation a bit challenging. Using techniques like cutting the 10-inch hair in half to create 'anchor braids' helped me manage the weight and style more comfortably. The term 'Italian curly' brought back memories of 'French deep curls' from decades ago, and working with this specific synthetic hair required careful attention to how it behaves under different conditions. To protect my natural hair and maintain the style, I spaced installation over several days, allowing me to work between my schedule and reduce fatigue on my scalp. Touch-ups after a few weeks are essential; they help maintain the style's neatness and address any unraveling or frizz that occurs with wear. I recommend applying lightweight oils occasionally to keep both synthetic and natural hair hydrated without weighing down the braids. Overall, reviving this hairstyle feels rewarding, blending nostalgia with current protective styling trends. For anyone thinking about trying this look, patience and the right techniques—like feed-in installation at the ends—make all the difference. Remember, the key is to trust the process, enjoy the journey, and embrace the cute, hard-mode vibe of these curly braids.
