Second day of camp! When I was crazy about chopping firewood while boiling cartilage in preparation for dinner from the afternoon, I heard a conversation between a parent and a child (mother and son) from the other side... Mother "It's dangerous if you go too far! There is a sign that a viper comes out!" While my son said "Un..." elsewhere, I was impressed that "there are a lot of tadpoles" while observing the water mill near the site, watching the river flowing by the side, watching the puddle... When I called out, "You're a good son, aren't you?," he said, "I can't stop when that happens," and watched the direction my son was going...
After that, it was a boy who enjoyed mother and nature with five senses without talking with parent and child for about an hour and a half 😊

キャンプ場での体験を通して、自然の中で子供が興味を持って探求する姿を見るのはとても貴重です。特に今の時代はデジタル機器に囲まれて育つ子どもが多いので、水車の動きや川の流れ、オタマジャクシの観察のような五感を使った自然体験は子どもの成長に大きな影響を与えます。 私も以前、友人家族とキャンプに行った際に子供たちが川辺で水の中の生き物を見つけたり、木の葉をじっくり観察したりしているのを見て、その純粋な好奇心に感動しました。大人が注意を払って自 然の中で安全に過ごしつつ、子どもたちに自由に探索させることが大切だと感じます。 また、マムシが出るような看板がある場所であっても、適切な説明と注意をもって、子どもの好奇心を抑え込まずに伸ばしてあげる環境づくりが親子双方にとって望ましいでしょう。今回の母子のように母親が見守る姿勢は、安心感を与えつつも子どもが自分で発見する喜びを邪魔しない素敵な関わり方だと思います。 こうした体験は自然と触れ合うことで感性や観察力を育て、ストレス解消や精神の安定にもつながります。豊かな自然の中で遊ぶ時間をもっと増やし、好奇心を持って色々なことに挑戦する子どもが増えてほしいと願っています。どんな小さなことにも興味を持ち、夢中になる姿は今どき貴重な存在であり、その成長を見守る大人の役割も大きいと感じました。
