UPGRADES IN OUR NEW BUILD HOME

There were many upgrades that I can’t remember at the top of my head, but these were the main ones we chose. It was definitely very fun and exciting to be able to pick and choose everything in our home.

I just wish we had more time and more than one studio appointment to finalize our choices. We regret some things but were not able to make changes after our one and only studio appointment. I’ll definitely make another post of the upgrades we would’ve chose if we could go back and change our choices.

However, it has been an amazing experience watching our house get built from the ground up and the time is flying by so quickly. Closing day is about a month away and I cannot wait!! #letschat #lemon8challenge #Lemon8Diary #newbuild #newbuildhome

Some popular upgrades include higher ceilings, which add a sense of spaciousness, or luxury vinyl planks that combine durability with style. A covered patio creates a perfect outdoor retreat, while blinds on every window offer both privacy and light control. Investing in quality cabinet materials, like white cabinets paired with subway tile backsplashes, can elevate the kitchen's aesthetic. Consider raised-height sinks for better functionality, or elongated toilets designed for comfort. Opting for modern doors can enhance the overall appeal of your home. Exploring the advantages of selecting a corner or larger lot might be worthwhile, especially if you have pets that require outdoor space. Budgeting for these enhancements and prioritizing according to your lifestyle is crucial. It's essential to plan and communicate effectively with builders to ensure that the desired upgrades are feasible within the project's timeline and budget. Regular update meetings can help avoid regrets and ensure that you are satisfied with all choices made. As the closing day approaches, your excitement builds, reminding you that every detail contributes to the comfort and beauty of your new home.

High ceilings are great. I have vaulted ceilings in my house and it definitely opens up the space.dont think I would add the blinds I would do that myself. My main thing for my next house is a large open kitchen with lots of cabinets and a pantry. Second is a larger bathroom with a giant soaking tub.
